BASIC College Ministries is a network of churches desiring to create vibrant and relevant campus ministries to reach and disciple college students. We believe that the local church is God's chosen vehicle for creating lasting change. Change happens gradually. It happens when people act where they are with what they have. It occurs when people do a series of little things that add up over a long period of time.

Investing your time and resources at your church to reach the university campus is a high-impact, strategic decision. Let me tell you why:

1Historically, many major religious and political movements—both good and bad—start on university campuses

2According to a number of recent studies, three out of every four Christian students who attend a public university fall away from their faith in the first semester¹

3College students are more likely than other age groups to be searching for truth²

5There is a trend for twenty-somethings to disengage from the church; they are less likely than any other age group to believe “a person’s faith in God is meant to be developed by involvement in a local church”³

4There are approximately 700,000 international students studying in the United States, and over half are from the 10/40 window⁴

6Only 10% of Christians come to Christ after the age of 25⁵
